Geelong Competition

Hi Everyone,

Please read and make arrangements at the earliest possibly date. Leaving it too late will see higher prices, we are booking seperatly to give everyone more flexibility and get the flights/accommodation they prefer. Please Note: Practice on Saturday is in Melbourne (not Geelong), and a bus will take us from Melbourne to Geelong on Sunday.

Book Own Flight & Accommodation

Flights There: Meeting In Melbourne 2pm Sat 17th March @ Flagstaff Gardensmap (I suggest the latest landing time would be around 12) Note: Daylight Savings time 1hr ahead

Flights Home: no earlier than 9pm from Melbourne Airport (Avalon can be about 1hr earlier). Or another day. Bus drops will be Avalon Airport, Melbourne Airport and Flagstaff Gardens (Melbourne City).

Accommodation: There are a lot of accommodation choices around the area. The important thing is the bus Sunday morning will be picking up Cnr A’Beckett St and William St, across the road from our Saturday practice.
Some choices: 
Atlantis Best Western, around 10min walk to pickup, stayed a few times and recommend it: Atlantis (map)
Nomads Melbourne Hostel - right across the road from practice and pickup, cheaper
Pegasus Apart’Hotel - right across the road from practice and pickup, higher price bracket
Free to stay wherever you like, share, etc. (If anyone sees some good deals feel free to share in comments on Facebook)

Getting from Airport to Melbourne:
SkyBus $18 - Melbourne City Express - This is easy and drops you at Southern Cross Station which is approx. 1km from our practice. Allow Minimum of 1.5hr for getting off flight, bus and walking/taxi/etc to practice park. https://www.skybus.com.au/melbourne-city-express/timetable
